Six and the City is a theatre project that was produced by Goethe-Institut Kenya last year, in cooperation with our partner Stephan Bruckmeier. It focused on the vibrant and eccentric Nairobi city that is made of different and contradictory worlds.

BOOK LAUNCH & THEATRE PERFORMANCE
Entrance: free
Six writers, namely Billy Kahora, Parselelo Kantai, Andia Kisia, Tony Mochama, Kevin Mwachiro, and Valentine Njoroge, were commissioned to portray this elusive city in form of short theatre pieces, which were staged in front of Nairobi’s skyline, on the rooftop terrace of PAWA254.
All the six theatre plays are now going to be released in book form within our Contact Zones NRB book series.
At this special occasion, three of the plays will be staged one more time.
Percy’s Killer Party, 24th Floor, and Modern African Woman, performed by Mwajuma Bahati, Terry Awiti, Constant Hore, Joe Kinyua, Maryanne Nungo, and Telley Savalas Otieno, will transform this evening into a distinctive combination of literature and performance art.
The book will be on sale at a reduced launch prize of 500/= KSh.
