Fuckup Nights Nairobi
Fuckup Nights is a global event series where people share stories of professional failure. The story of the business that crashes and burns, the partnership deal that goes sour, the product that has to be recalled; at Fuckup Nights ,it all comes out in the open.
There are many reasons for bringing stories of royal fuckups out from the shadows into broad daylight. One is that failure is the mother of innovation, and it is vital to the process of staying innovative and relevant in changing times. When we stigmatize failure, we risk becoming stagnant.
Another reason is that stories of failure are also stories of depths, shame, and anxiety, and our failures affect our mental health. It has been shown that entrepreneurs are 30% more likely to experience depression than their non-entrepreneurial counterparts. In general, falling flat on your face is typically viewed negatively and kept private. And that is what we want to change.
During the evening, you will listen to four speakers tell their failure story, which will be followed by a question-and-answer session and networking.
Join in creating a culture shift where we take the sting, shame & guilt out of failure as we share stories in a supportive environment.
